Floral Haven Family Center
6420 South 129th East Avenue
Tulsa, OK  74134

In honor of the national observance, Tulsa will host a Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day on October 15th to raise awareness about infant mortality in Tulsa County.  Families who have suffered a pregnancy loss or infant death will gather at Floral Haven for a Memorial Walk to the Garden of Angels and a candlelighting ceremony to honor the lives of their babies.

Tulsa County has one of the highest infant mortality rates in the state – 8.9 deaths per 1,000 live births which puts Tulsa County at 29% higher than the national average.   This is due to a variety of factors and crosses both economic status and ethnic heritage.

For more information on the event or to get soundbites for your audience, please call The Tristesse Grief Center at 918.587.1200.  Professional counselors are available for interviews.
